The plant belongs to the Anacardiaceae family, and the raw material is sourced from areas in Bulgaria where the plantations are maintained according to organic principles throughout the year. Cultivation follows organic principles, which is why no synthetic agents or artificial fertilizers reach the leaves during the entire growth period. The leaf mass is used for the extraction, while the other parts remain outside the processing. Steam distillation sets the measure of the scent, as only a small part of the volatile substances of the leaf mass passes into the aqueous phase. The aroma is weak and carries a bitter base with a slight sharpness. The low strength of the scent is perceptible throughout the profile, while the bitter side remains dominant. The color starts at colorless and reaches pale yellow. The pale yellow tint is due to the pigments that the leaf mass releases into the aqueous medium. The product is a clear liquid with a consistent appearance throughout its depth. Storage
